is University of London any good? saw quite a lot of solicitors in SG graduate from there but it does not seem to be approved anymore? how is it compared to the approved unis now?

Yes. The CPF paid on it is counted towards the additional wage ceiling and not the base. So in a month you can get CPF above the $6k cap

I think the confusion concerns the frame of reference for the first full year salary. 7.5K to 7.8K is correct. But some people refer to it as NQ while others call it 1 PQE.
Technically NQ would be the 4 month "stub year" between Aug mass call and Dec. That's when junior assocs are paid 6.8K. Thereafter, their salary increases to 7.5K at the start of Jan.
So both are actually correct.

Also depends on how much you ankat the balls of your senior professors.
Probably the biggest factor.
