From what I heard, maybe around 15k-16k. Not sure about the 17k figure. But the point is that even 3rd year associates can earn more than a Big4 junior partner, and with better benefits to boot.

Last time reported in the news and a fam court judgment, B4 JP is 15k. Some lawyer divorce case. Name redacted but we all know who.
But that was few years ago. Since then JP comp should've bumped up by a few k at least ba

For those who are planning to practise all the way
Is the end goal of counsel in intl firm or equity partner in local big 4 wiser/more worthwhile?

Heard that the trainee in his team didn't want to stay on in his team and left for an international firm. Complained that it was tough and he had to run a lot of the files on his own as a trainee.

Why need to wait for “Senior associate” to hit 20k?
