IMO, A&G still tops WP. Not sure by how much these days - haven’t been in the B4 sphere in a while.

Few years doing crime, then jump to international firms doing regulatory / investigations, or financial institutions doing investigations and compliance. Quite common path for those who don't wanna stay in legal service
I take it you don't wanna be chinatown defence lawyer either.

corp definitely. please switch asap if you don't intend to do litigation in the long haul, don't like advocacy and court or arbi work
don't be like me and stay in liti for too long. i moved to inhouse eventually but several steps behind my corp peers who started out in corp and got the choicer inhouse roles.
liti, good to get your foot in a Big 4 if you can't get into corp Big 4 TC straightaway. but don't linger for too long.

Really depends on what your end goal is. If you want to go in-house in a bank, then probably the banking team has the best prospects. If you have **** all end goals then M&A is probably the best.

thank you for sharing
did you have to take a paycut when you move to inhouse role?
at what stage did you move?
also is it true that corp is easier than litigation in terms of stress and difficulty? i see many more openings for litigation roles in law firms than corp roles
