Oxbridge is exceedingly strict on that regard.

They don't care where the degree is from, they just care that you have a FCH. There are narrow exceptions, such as if you are from oxbridge Undergrad law already and scored a strong 2.1.

According to published data from FOI requests, Oxford BCL made offers for only 1-2 non FCH for the preceding few years (contrasted with the 100s of FCH offered available places).

Cambridge LLM intake is said to be slightly easier due to their cohort size, but the intake is also overwhelmingly FCH.

Delisted school FCH can go Oxbridge. So Oxbridge BA is inferior. Make friends with them since BCL id better than MA

Actually hor, do clients really care if u r from Oxbridge? U mean when clients have NUS grad and Oxbridge grad pitching, they will choose the latter?

Or the Oxbridge cert just an ego booster?

Haha you just address the elephant in the room. Yes, most lawyers' ego is above the roof, just see how the partners go trumpeting themselves on LinkedIn. Another way is to see the partners' attitude. The partners I had worked with in the past 3 years are damn self-righteous, only others can be wrong and they are always correct. How to boost their 'always-I-am-correct'? Well, by academic achievements and accolades/awards lor.

But in front of clients, still need to kowtow like my maid

Unfortunately this is the reality.
That’s why there are people studying the percentage of Oxbridge in magic circle and white shoe. And the reality is that most partners in magic circle are from Oxbridge / Russell group.
