1,600-1,800 hours are standard for silver circle.
2,000-2,400 hours for your magic circle
3,000 hours for white shoe type firms

Lol this is completely BS, did you just think, more money = more billable required and adjust it?
No firm asks you for 3,000 billables. Don't be ridiculous. And the SC and MC firms ask for approximately the same average billables, not 2k to 2.4k.

Indeed.
I went from B4 to MC.
In B4 the expected hours was 1.5k a year, I was billing close to 2.3k just because life is dogshit.
In MC I was expected to bill 1.8k, I am averaging around 2k.
Either way if you're not useless at your job, you won't have an issue hitting the requisite hours. But the best part about intl firms is some build a fixed bonus structure into your overbilled hours.

Same here, I was promised an additional % bonus per additional 100 hours billed on top of my requirements.
