Hi, fresh NUS LLM NQ grad (IPT specialization) and job-searching now; just wanted to ask if I can or should be negotiating for slightly more than average/how much should I be negotiating for when asked about pay expectations?
Only applying to IP firms
Thanks!!

The problem is that the IP field in SG is small, and most of the firms doing it specifically (barring the tier 1 and some tier 2 firms) pay below market rate. You either have to consider apply to firms where IP is not a speciality, or accept that you're gonna be underpaid unless you get into the tier 1s.

its not about the money its about telling yourself and your peers that you're better than them. when you come back to sg with some dead white man's name on your cv and several litres of his descendants' sperm in your cervix/colon your peers will worship the ground you walk on and everything you tell them to do in that plummy new accent sounds like an order from the queen herself

Oddly specific but thanks for worshipping me. I would recommend you worship God instead

Hi anyone, asking if Simmons & Simmons (SS) is a better place to do my TC as compared to CC. SS seem to be the only firm that offers a structured dual qualification during the 2-year TC.

Anyone from Bakers can share whether the firm has said released anything internally to address these Pandora Papers allegations? Not saying tt anything was improperly done (anyway these matters allegedly took place over many jurisdictions over many years). Just being kaypoh
