To quote a prominent public figure, this would be "the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever"!
If you're getting less than $5.5k pulling Big 4 hours, then you're a sucker.

Can confirm. The current big 4 pay for associates who are called in 2017 is about 5.2k with front loading. That's how bad the market is these days

Confirm that starting salary for one of the big 4s is below 5k. It is also the firm that is well-known for having the poorest retention rates among the big 4.

Call happens once every month (monthly call) save for the months of July & September, being the month before and the month after Mass Call.
At least this was the case for 2015 and 2016, though it's highly unlikely that this arrangement has changed for 2017.

Fellow lawyers, what do you think about the merger between Harry Elias and Eversheds? Will it follow in the footsteps of Morgan Lewis Stamford, Withers KhattarWong, Dentons Rodyk, Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee in terms of salary? Heard that most of these firms still maintain a normal Singapore salary structure, nothing extraordinary - anybody can confirm?
Or will it become like Clifford Chance Cavenagh Law, Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, with higher salaries?
