If you failed SLS, you are banned from even reading anything here

Your firm is not likely to ask you how many times you took part A. However, when hiring, if there is a gap between your final year at uni and your call date, you better think of a reasonable explanation. Firms aren't stupid, if you don't want them to know, find something to fill the time.

Anyone who retook part A willing to share what you did to pass?

Wow yeah not sure how I feel about this. If you trawl the earlier pages of this thread you can see that Walter Woon was infamous for being extra hard on the Part A batches - and now he is purporting to sell the solution?
And they may come up with MORE courses too. Truly profiteering off the juniors.

I just hope it stops at the part where he’s trying to make a profit. I won’t be surprised if it’s a ruse to pass those that signed up/to give people that he knows and/or connected to an inside track to passing part A.

I don't think he'll outright cheat with a "pay to pass" type deal for his students. However, given his status in the community, he would likely have friends setting the paper for each year. He just needs to gather enough "information" about the paper to know what he should focus on. Also, given that he taught locally, he could easily pass out muggers/study notes for students (which helps tremendously).
The real crime is that this isn't a course made free for students, but is just created to give richer kids an unfair advantage over poorer kids. No firm is going to reimburse "voluntary" courses taken for Part A/B.

Side note, law is getting increasingly female dominated...especially in bigger firms where they promote all the "female progression programs"
