TS the RJC-> NUS law kid has a point that B4 law pay and career prospects has stagnated in tandem with a decline in the Singapore's economy over the years, that requires addressing by current and future stakeholders in the legal industry instead of going on a tangent about getting married at 23 during law school!

It’s not about financial security. If wages are stagnated according to OP, then a work around solution is to get married earlier to get the bto early. It’s a choice we have to make. If you’re going to eventually get married, pushing it earlier doesn’t make a difference. Unless you are not intending to get married, then whatever I say makes no sense to you ultimately.
It’s nothing to do with stakeholders in the legal industry. Just look at Malaysia, do you know how much junior associates fresh out of the bar are paid? Look also at our south East Asian neighbours...

really can't wait for govt to liberalize the legal sector once this gen of boomer partners die. Hope the international firms and accounting firms come in and do a clean sweep of all the poor profitability low paying local firms, esp. those lousy mid tier ones pretending that they do wall street work when in fact they do shenton way work.
Same situation in London, even once-rarefied position of Magic Circle firms are being eroded by US firms in prestige and pay.
Hope at least 50% of local law firms shut down or get eaten up by the internationals.
