You get the odd weirdo in the streets every now and then (NGL I try not to go out after dark, but right now sun sets at 9pm so it's all gucci), but within my firm people are nothing but supportive and very inclusive.

It was bad in January time, but now vaccinations have brought the rate under control. Social restrictions are going to be lifted in June.
Also UK firms were initially worried about COVID and froze NQ pay way back September year. Now with profits sky high (and NY firms raising NQ pay) they are coming under pressure to increase NQ pay.
With covid creating a sea-change in attitudes towards WFH cost of living also goes down a lot as you can rent further away from central London when you only commute in 2/3 times a week.

Clarence Lun's firm is in a downward spiral. Departure of their founding partner and half of all their assocs (all in the same week I heard), Soh's firing of Clarence because of poor advice to fight doggedly for an unmeritorious recusal application... Guess his claim that Fervent Chambers is going to be listed in "legal 500" is but a pipe dream?

Currently in my final year of a double degree at Melbourne University in Law and Commerce (Economics and Finance).
What are the job opportunities in SG with this degree? Can I get into a top local law firm or IB? Thanks.

Yeah don't go out after dark. The UK is dangerous. The streets are not safe. The police are just too laid back.
