Temasek poly law diploma. Career paralegals in big firms can earn up to 8k and knock off on time. Cushy job.

I feel miserable. You see I study law because I thought it’s a sure way to be rich and successful. I wanted a law gf because I strongly believe that if two people studied the same subject and worked in the same industry, there would be more common elements to anchor the relationship.
I did all of that. But nothing worked.
After 5 years looking back now, I am no longer in the legal industry, the girl I dated has left me and we had joint promises to leave law, yet she is still in the legal industry doing well. My ability to trust the opposite gender to form meaningful relationships has essentially been killed off totally.
I feel like a failure because my other friends in other industries are SVP/VP etc. while I’m just a minion doing stuff non related to law.
I spent a lot of money getting privacy certification, law masters, etc. but I feel like a failure...
Sometimes I don’t even want to remember I was in law before. People said most law guys are alpha males. That’s a lie.

What this reads like is: I went into law thinking it would be easy money and prestige. I realized it wasn't, and I was either too lazy or too dumb to succeed in it. I tried to compensate in other ways by getting a masters and third-party certifications but they didn't compensate for my lack-lustre performance. My girlfriend had the ability or the gumption to succeed. I quit the profession. [Insert information here about why she left me, but it's probably related to the former points.]
There's nothing wrong with finding something else to do because you were not good at your primary choice. But don't whine about it. Nobody likes a whiner.
