Hogan Lovells for straight tech into US firm or at least firm which other US firms recognize.
Depends on practice area but would rank Ashurst ahead of SH although the Ashurst people I worked against can be quite daft.

Your first sentence tells me that I don't even need to read your second.
SH is trash. Esp for finance. The quality of the documents I've seen coming out there is actually appalling.. and they pay terribly as well.

Curious - which SH finance team is this? Or might you be referring to the Virtus rather than SH per se, which I know does some ship finance work. I thought SH itself (the FLP end of the JLV) has a good rep for aviation financing..
