If they were to choose between a lawyer earning 6k/mth or a hawker earning 10k/mth, women will still pick the lawyer, because the lawyer's status is a better trophy than a hawker's status. After all, women love to compare here and there on social media and in real life
Then too bad for them. I saw a duck rice seller driving a brand new 7 series. I the lawyer on the other hand only drives a Nissan Note.

Tbf Note isn't cheap despite its size. It is only "xia suay" if a lawyer drives a Kia Picanto

The fact that this thread repeatedly degrades itself back to this kind of pointless gossip is honestly so sad and lowkey representative of the disgusting gossip culture prevalent amongst the Asian community.

Yea - also curious about the path of transiting from local to international firms. Thinking of jumping ship after a couple of PQE.

Useful posts are about 400 pages back. Definitely jump for greater dough and exposure, in almost all practice areas. Probably HL>HSF>NRF in terms of comp. stay if you can definitely bring in work.
