Default Diploma pay

What is the acceptable range nowadays?

is $2k too low and below average for a guy that is working after NS in engineering?

Will you be furthering your studies? The range depends on industry, role and experience.
1.8 to 2 k is acceptable range.

You should not expect 2.5k as a diploma holder. 2.5k is the low end of a degree pay.

Salary survey results tend to be skewed to the higher spectrum as most of the people willing to take the survey are people with higher paying jobs. Hope that clarifies

u r paid how much the company values u based on the job scope you r hired for. if u think u r worth more or able to take on roles that pay more, then go try other companies/roles... but if at the end of the day, no company is willing to pay u 2500, then u sld re-value how much YOUR skill/knowledge/experience is really worth.

Yes agree with this. As a fresh grad with little or no experience, there is nothing about being shortchanged. Having been in the workforce for 4 years, I can say there is no free lunch in this world. Higher pay means you will have more responsibilities. Questions to think about: Are you able to apply for companies who can pay you 2.5k? If yes, good. If you have job offers that pay is 1.8 to 2.1K, will you reject them and wait for the 2.5k job? If you can get the 2.5k job, will it be a role that you want?
