Research project engineer/officer with IHL

Anyone ever worked as a research project engineer or officer with a polytechnic or university before?

The main requirement seem to be a candidate with only 2 years working experience.

Are they all contract-based? And usually how long is the contract (1 year, 2 years, 3 years)?

If there is no research project, means no renewal of contract?

How well do they pay? Entry level 3k, or able to reach 5k-6k for experienced professionals?
