Will take the government at least a year or 2 before it announces any change, while it studies the issue carefully first. Don't bank on it happening in the next few months.

I believe passion is one important factor. With that, you can overcome difficulties more easily and able to pick up skills faster. It also enables one to continue on that path and gain more working relevant experience to achieve management role.
I graduated from local University with a 4 years engineering pass degree and my first job (related to my current job) is a mere $2,300/month basic salary (average 1.5 month bonus) in late 2009. On average, I get around 24% increment (based on annual remuneration package) over the past 7 years. Therefore, it is important to enter a job that you are passionate early so you can build your knowledge and experience faster.

Please offer me your advice!!
Hi all, I'm currently serving NS and planning to study Mechanical/Chemical engineering at a local Uni. I didn't know that the engineering sector in Singapore was this bleak until I read this thread.
After reading much online about engineering in Singapore, I still feel that a personal experience is what I need to determine for myself if engineering is for me. I would really appreciate if anyone knows where I can find job shadowing/ internship opportunities for ME&CHE!!
Please advise me on which field of engineering is better (ME/CHE)! Thank you in advance!

Nowadays, it is very profitable and comfortable to be an engineer, my husband also makes a lot of money on this. It is important to be in the right place at the right time. Now he has a factory for producing bowl feeders, it is a very profitable business as these bowls are needed for other factories. I am not an expert in engineering, but I understood that the automatization in engineering is one of the most important things. It helps people to save a lot of time and to produce much more products.

i wonder how the economies of these spam posts work. their replies seem somewhat still relevant to the topics. they have to create an account, get past the reCAPTCHA, and advertise to a largely uninterested audience. wonder if they do derive good uplift in traffic and revenue by spamming here
