Hi all! Warm greetings, I'm new here and have registered an account looking for advise, inputs, and information with regards to the OCBC FX Trainee Dealer (1 Year contract) role since I couldn't find any other relevant information on the topic. (other than the JD of course lol)

OCBC FX Trainee Dealer (1 year contract)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Trainees will undergo intensive training in the first 3 months on the basics of FX trading.
• Successful candidates will move to second stage where they will be each given a book with P&L responsibilities
• Perform daily cash-flow and reports generations
• Undertake data analysis of PNL
• Undertake daily funding requirements
• Daily position and PNL generation & reconciliation

Requirements:

• Fresh graduates from with basic degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Maths/Economics preferred; no more than 6 month’s working experience
• Good Microsoft Excel and Basic programming skills (VBA)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Sensitive to numbers
• Ability to work independently
• Shows keenness and makes efforts to keep abreast of financial markets
• History of personal trading will be advantageous
• Market savvy and demonstrates good grasp of the financial economy
• Willingness to work and performs under intensive and high pressure environment
• Strong will to succeed.
• Willingness to be rotated to work in different time zones

I am sincerely hoping to know more about the particular trainee role.

• Since it's a contract role, what are the (if any) short/long term prospects for the role itself?
• After the contract is up, what are the chances to be offered a perm Dealer role if I exceed expectations? (I know it's dependent on performance, headcount, and everything else), if yes, what are the prospects of a FX dealer?
• What's the pay range like for the particular trainee role? Progression wise?
• Noob question, last I googled, https://forums.salary.sg/income-jobs/...l#.VjGj_q4rLUo FX dealer IS a sales job and there're 2 kinds of FX dealer from what's mentioned in the thread, Bank side and Retail side, this role is for the Bank side I do suppose?
• What would be the usual education profile for that role? Local U?
