Most internships would have been taken up by now.

A well structured internship programme will not look for last min candidates. Either you are extremely lucky that someone decided to drop out from such programe, or they are looking for extremely cheap labor (interns are paid less than part timers).
BUT having said that, the word 'internship' or 'intern' does mean something on the resume. And you can exaggerate (realistically) wat u did there.

what year are you in? if you are in your first year, you can try looking for jobs related to finance. apart from the "internship" tag, if you have relevant experience, it will help in future / next internship application.
if you're in your final year, you probably should've applied earlier. but what's done is done.
if you really cannot find anything by the beginning of june (yes, sometimes there are last-minute internship opportunities, you can check with your school's career services centre), *any* internship is good lah.
but it really depends on which year of your studies you're in, your academic standing.
if you have a first class hons and you're in your first year, you can slack lor. haha. really depends.
good luck!
p.s. if you're not too picky, am sure you can find a finance-related job through the agencies in singapore. been there, done that.
