If you’re really in you’ll know that all fresh grads get the same pay. The only one that’s getting close to 6k is strategy. But when you’re a fresh grad under TAP, which is what all new joiners will fall under, the pay is a little less than 5k. You are not aligned to any industry at this stage. I have batch mates who are same consulting development analyst and is in FS project, but he is getting the same salary as all other new joiners. And you will not be align facing the same client all the time, I have been in both FS project and also public sector projects. In all, all fresh grads joining get the same pay regardless, which the exact amount you can find on Glassdoor (a little less than 5k).

This is not true, govt project are not budget and not all private sector projects have budget. Projects with most budget are large projects, with big headcount. It’s very easy to tell, for example govt project such as I*** have funds, know peers inside who have free snacks every week, you get a cupcake and card on your birthday, can claim meals, gatherings etc. but it’s true that govt projects have the most demanding clients, if you’ve been on both govt and private sector projects, you can tell the vast difference. That’s why not everyone enjoy govt project as it can be really stressful. Of course we do have a few projects that are of a smaller scale and may have less funds and less headcount, these projects are across all industry be it government or private sector.

Seems like those on big h&ps projects get promoted faster than those facing private sector clients, like they get more priority during the promotion cycle. Always have the most number of promotions. Accenture’s revenue in Singapore the biggest percentage come from government projects maybe that’s why. But I prefer a better well being and thoughtful clients than such demanding clients in h&ps projects lol.

Are all projects very technical? Can a non tech person join Accenture as a consultant?

Will have element of tech in them one. Can come in as strategy or either management consulting lo, will be lesser tech, but no promises also cos certain projects are just technical in nature.
