Why are people from consulting charged more to clients than those from tech side? Team lead was saying consulting analysts in the project are more expensive than technology analysts. Seem to be true as everyone is saying clients pay more for consulting analyst than technology analyst. Like I understand consulting role offer is harder to get than tech but is this why they are charged more?

Yep this is correct, everyone in the firm knows this. Basically whichever project it is, if there’s strategy people (analyst to manager), consulting people (analyst to manager) and technology side people (analyst to manager), clients pay most for strategy people, followed by consulting people and last technology people. That’s why projects have the most people from technology function, you always see only a handful of consulting and strategy people, literally less than 10, at times even as little as 2-3. So the workload is arguably more for them too
It’s not a good or bad thing but this is just how it is, afterall getting strategy or consulting role offer (your talent segment in your contract from Accenture) is more challenging than getting a technology role offer. But ultimately depending on your experience, interest and suitability also.

When you have years of work experience it doesn’t matter what grades you got in school… there’s no project manager roles in acn, we only have manager. FYI, it takes around 4.5-5 years to get from analyst to manager. So with your three years of experience, you should only be applying for consultant roles.

Does anyone know the salary for CDTS analyst, fresh grad role?

Additionally, what is the working culture like at acn in such a role?
