Exactly. In a normal company, employees usually can claim for work related expenses and theres usually no limit so long certain conditions fulfilled.
Only ACN will come up with this kind of pattern to say that this "allowance" is part of the employee benefits to boost up their annual salary LOL.

Obvious you havent been on many projects. Some projects allow you to claim transport outside of your allowance.
