Criteria for promotion, need following ingredient
1. Need to work in a project long, like 2 years or more that kind
2. Need to perform above your level, if you level 10, you should do Level 9 work
3. Your boss must like you, and have good impression for you, very important during TD
4. This one is many people overlook, your fellow colleagues or junior must support you, you must support from those L10 and L11 too
if you can check all 4 points above then u consider for promotions, if not fat hope

Tbh think just point 3 is sufficient in better times. Seen many cases where good people got left out previously while boss likes get ahead/fast track even though not as good. Now cause budget super tight even if boss wants to help you also might not have budget, become a level wide competition with more justification needed
Fact is you can do 1,2 and 4 properly, if 3 wanna f you up, you will f up

Not true, point 1 there is some Jiak Liao Bee for 2 years.
Point 2, I seen alot of cases L11 1 person solo / tanking 2-4 ppl job scope. That is after they gone then they need hire 2-4 more L11 / contractor to cover his job.
Point 3, is very true.
Point 4, somewhat true and false. If leadership want push, you will also get

In this time of age haven’t we gotten past looking at school names? Being in the firm for 4 years and a manager now school names are really just a name. I have worked with the top 3 local unis with terrible working attitudes and private ones with superb attitude and work, vice versa. Understandably the stigma is for the majority but interesting how I heard a group of new joiners sharing the stigma is still around today.

Still there but unlikely will affect TD in Accenture
In fact going from bachelors to masters yield no difference here, they only value ANY bachelor's and certification

Yes, on the bench from weeks to months.
A good PL will constantly provide updates outta concern.
Whereas, lousy one will just cascade info from HR until the flag is red.

Helps with deployability, which in turn helps with TD for justification for promo especially now since competition is more tight than ever.
But pretext for this to work, is that your boss have to want to fight for you. Else someone without certification can very well promote ahead of you, since you aren't even put up for promo to begin with lmao

It will not be good on your resume. That’s why some prefer to resign themselves before the let go date. And op is right about quiet layoff, know of people being asked to leave from Song, Consulting, Strategy. Recently caught up with a few friends who shared they were asked to leave, it started in Dec and this month there were still a few with reasons such as cost restructing. It’s the same reason every other company out there is giving in the recent news. Not sure about Tech but not surprised if there are since Tech is the one with the influx of people and never short of talent considering the mass hiring in yearly.
