No. Even some who got promoted took the title and went to other firms outside

Apart from talent discussions, it also helps you know more people and get some visibility from the sponsors, who typically are the senior management in the company.
But how would they know what your other contributions are? Is there a place to document such things? Is it the more you do the higher chance?

But other MNCs one are really counted as your own personal interest pursue. ACN one is like a compulsory that may help your promotion.

Tech projects to be specific only H&PS projects have more budget but that doesnt translate into better promotion for its people. I have been in H&PS projects before and many analysts under TAP who hit the one year mark by mid May arent put up for promotion despite the one + two. Many had to past the one year mark to only get a chance in end dec. Take for example this end year promotion, all of the one year mark analysts in the change pod are promoted and those snr analyst either hit their 2 year mark or even less than 2 year mark were promoted to consultant. Im not from the change pod but I know this as my counselee is in the pod. Yes, tech people may not be happy with this, but this is just what reality is. Those consulting people in the change pod are a guaranteed transition into S&C T&O which is the same as our past consulting program for consulting hires. In fact, if youre looking at L9 onwards, consulting hires have a faster progression as compared to its tech counterparts. There are an abundance of tech people, Accenture mass hires them (just look at the ratio of consulting hires and business&integration offers in TAP monthly), how do you fight for your promotion when theres so many others to be promoted? To sum it up, those who got into consulting either wants to do consulting have the skills and experiences, or they want the prestige and move out afterwards, or they just want a faster progression. Even those who end up going into the tech dte arent doing real tech work, thats why they jump out to other tech firms which provide better opportunities because as much as how Accenture has a brand to it, many of the tech projects are implementation

Yup understand that network is key to be placed on consulting projects. The point is, even if your networking is on point, not all consulting analysts get to be placed there because projects like that are not common in the first place.

Hmm you're saying that the progression for consulting is faster beyond L9 because of the smaller pool of talents? LOL.

It takes longer to prepare for the next level (CL9-7). Idk where you get the idea that it's easier to weed through the competition and get that promotion..

LMAO first time hearing tech promotions are fast. The reason why the whole TAP even started was to reduce the number of tech analysts who leave after staying stuck as analyst for 2-3 years. Your inference skills are making us doubt if youre really from S&C huh, no sentence implied weeding through the competition LMAO. Dont know how you think one can promote fast if your pool of candidates are around 3-5 times larger? Just look at the number of tech people holding their positions for a much longer time. There are of course a number who over excel but are you going to use those to show that tech get to promote faster? Yes if you have the skills and what it takes for promotion you can get promoted faster as compared to under the tech track. If you dont have what it takes then whichever DTE youre under youll stay stuck. If youre under consulting right now and unhappy, jolly well change to tech or whichever track you like. Wonder why you still stay stuck here since youve shared how much tech is better FYI its easier to switch from consulting to tech than the other way, so if tech is where you prefer to be, end of the year would be an easier time for you to switch. At the end of the day, everyones experience or take is different, do what you feel best for yourself.

First time hearing about this company being a brand name, its rep stinks among local U CS grads for many years already.

they'll cut at every level. From Analyst all the way to MD.

They did so during covid and branded it as a normal 'renewal'.
