Why can't companies give a decent increment to retain employees rather than forking out 10-20% more to hire someone new.. endless cycle of talent drain and more expensive in the long run.

It's pretty simple,

because most people who are getting these 1-2% pay inc won't leave the company and a lot of companies know this. You hear people job hopping to get 10-20% more but let's be honest, is that the majority? i really doubt it.

Please raise this matter, since Accenture always pride themselves as never tolerating unwanted advances in any form-verbal, actions etc. let’s see if Accenture lives up to what it says. Don’t need be scared, just like nus case if they don’t take action to protect the victim and sweep this down the carpet, lodge a police report and take legal action. I’m sure the company wouldn’t want to tarnish their name lol. If you scared then they will step over you. Fight for your own rights, I know you may be scared but do you feel fair to be treated this way and being scared at work?

Gosh your mindset is as though you’re a kid. Everyone can sense the fear and worry in the op’s post yet you’re so certain it’s a lie. It’s your certainty that’s exposing you. The manager the op is mentioning seems to be project manager and not your direct line manager or Accenture manager in leadership position.

From the person’s tone, highly doubt it’s a lie though and what does the person get out of lying? Doesn’t seem valid in your certainty that it’s a lie straight up, you seem to be the person this op is saying to be so sure about this maybe in an attempt to protect yourself?
