It’s the other way round…. Consulting isn’t all change management. Change management role is one of the few roles in majority of projects which employees can apply for when they source for a project to join. So you can also apply for developer or BA roles if you think you have the skills and if the project feel you’re a fit. But of course consulting employees tend to apply for roles relevant and aligned to their DTe. Business strategy analyst is also one of the roles in projects, but you’ll see these indeed business strategy analyst purely from the strategy side. So priority is given to them but if you have the skills and experience to match up, consulting dte employees can also take on those roles in specific projects. If you want to know what other type of consulting work you can’t just expect to know all from this thread alone right? You should try to speak and ask around or once you’re in it’s easier for you to understand. This is the same for business and integration arch role or delivery role and etc, people here can only give you a broad guage but each specific role you do in each project varies too depending on the project and that role you’re holding in that particular project. As for why consulting isn’t all Change management, believe everyone here have alr elaborated enough, yes you may see majority of the team in project consist of consulting analyst or management consultant, that’s cos they have the closest skills match which would be easier, there’s also tech people who are part of change mgmt team cos they probably enjoy the work, or want to experience, or there’s one who wanted to use that experience to try and switch to S&C. Yes they can apply for other consulting roles too in projects, but hardly they do as the skills don’t match up, change management is the most basic for consulting and that’s why some tech people mah be able to hold those roles.

have to be clearer here a lot of blur people 😂, acn people who were recruited into MBB to do pure consulting work are those who are from consuming in Accenture. Yes we also have really competitive tech people who managed to get into FAANG after a couple years in Accenture. Must be clear if not some ops here so lost and confused, later think someone who’s not from consulting can get into MBB to do pure consulting work easier, and those who no tech skills get into FAANG do tech work. If you see consulting people getting into FAANG, minority is already those who really have tech skills too, but majority will get in FAANG for other roles and most commonly be part of their strategy team since it’s the closest and most relevant. But either way, depends on your skills, your experience and what role you’re on

You can’t expect others to fill you in on what you want to know right? Getting all your answers to your questions on this thread is impossible, just look at the number of trolls in this thread and people who don’t even know what’s consulting about to tell you ‘consulting is change management and you only do ppt or you only teach users how to use this system’. If you truly keen to know, you will use other more accurate resources to find out, can’t believe have to teach you this. You can connect with those on LinkedIn who are doing consulting in Accenture and ask them, or even during the TAP talks they tend to have people from different functions there.

Why everyone thinks a pod determine your role and which talent segment you’re in??

Clear your misconception people.

Your talent segment which is also your job family is the one that determines what types of project roles will you be doing.

If you want to be in S&C doing consulting, you need to be recruited as a Consulting Development Analyst/Consulting Development Snr Analyst, Management Consulting, and so on. This is fixed and standard.

If you want to be in Technology, you need to be recruited as Business & Integration Arch Analyst or Business and Integration Delivery Analyst, Data Scientist, and so on.

If you want to be in Operations/Security, then it’s their relative role to be recruited into…

Accenture Song is their interactive function, so a relevant job role as well.

The pods in TAP is just a pod lol, we have business and integration arch analyst in other pods other than tech pods also what. But are they doing consulting work? Are their talent segment consulting? Do they belong in S&C? No.

Your ACN Job Title, Talent Segment in contract, your Manager, and your Job Family are what determines which line you belong in ACN and the type of work you’ll do.

Pretty much sums up everything 👍

Standard roles for fresh analysts Accenture recruits:
- Consulting development analyst = ACN S&C
- Strategy analyst = ACN S&C = extremely rare, hire maybe like 1-3 every 2-3 years only
- Business and integration delivery analyst = ACN Technology
- Business and integration arch analyst = ACN Technology
- Security analyst = ACN Technology
- Operational analyst = ACN Operations
- those analyst belonging to corporate functions such as transaction something analyst
- Recruiting Analyst = Corporate Fn, HR
- Project management analyst = Corporate Fn
