Past intern is a straight away intern lol we don’t need to go through the hackkerank and EE. This has nothing to do with which school, and acn has been hiring private uni grads all along too. Please check before speaking. I was a past intern and got offered last year, there are indeed a few projects who have not enough budget but need manpower so they will try to see if you ok with joining as contractor, if not ok then you got to interview with another project again. So what this person say is true.

HR has been contacting through phone and email after working hours around 8pm, and sending emails at midnight, even on Sunday?! Is it normal? Or does it shows that there is really no work life balance at accenture?
Even when arranging for interviews, they postponed it more than 2 times. Really reconsidering my choices right now. Hope to get some advice!

Definitely red flag. The fact postponing your interviews more than twice is too much. Either they prioritised other interviewees or the project really that busy to not respect your time. Basic courtesy and respect is still supposed to be present even if you’re a job seeker and the project time “more precious” than yours. Suggest you to consider other options and not put all effort on this one from your experience. It really shows how unprofessional this is.
Work life balance definitely not something you find in Accenture btw.

Bro in case you don’t know, past interns only need to go through the interview stage. And not everyone receive direct offers after ee btw, those who did are from the first batch and majority from the second batch went through one interview. But past interns just need to interview after they apply. And for you to decide if I can make it or not, I have internships at ACN, JPM, RB and I applied to ACN tap as I felt it’s a good start for ft which include learning opps that not many companies have. FYI, I’m a LOCAL uni student too. So please refrain from jumping to conclusions before getting your facts checked.

Interviewer mentioned project is quite big so i don’t think not enough budget to this extent bah? And dk t the hr check in this too cos I applied for analyst role in tap eh wts. Terrible experience just common sense think about it someone have top internships and other skill sets but ask to come as contractor who in the right mind will accept lol. Wonder the other interviewees who were asked to join as contractor accepted or not

As what zero_88 shared, project no budget, no headcount, you offered contractor. But at least project ask you if you ok and not didn’t inform you and when HR give offer then contract state. That one happened to one of my friend and he no choice but accepted cos he rejected another competing offer as he thought he got analyst since he applied for that and interview didn’t ask.

The contract will state contractor if is contract role? And if is permanent full time then state is analyst role? Now quite scared sia I see a few who interviewed and asked of contractor I will check my offer letter before signing anything. But wanna know how to differentiate if your offer is a permanent full time or a contract one?

Postponing interviews multiple times is not a practice in the industry that’s for sure. From your post already many red flags present, if I were you I would not go for any of their interviews after two postpone occasions. As many have shared earlier on, Accenture typical working hours are 9-8pm or some even go on to 10/11pm or midnight, majority of the days you are required to ot, weekends also no difference. That’s the reason why many leave as they burnout.

You quite suay sia…just interview with another project or consider other offers. But don’t the HR vet beforehand though? Like don’t they know which project looking for contractor or full time permanent role or they just anyhow whack schedule interviews only?

This really reflects badly sia. Who’s the hr you’re corresponding with? Don’t accept mate, you’re much better elsewhere, even smaller firms have never been doing it this way this is simply unprofessional.

This project not worth joining also no budget you join you stuck in your level for a few years. If they can’t even afford to pay analyst salary to bring in analyst and have to resort to paying lesser for a contractor, just imagine if you’re in do you think you can get promoted as per normal? Confirm come up with all sorts of reason like you not ready and all cos no budget no headcount.
