Citco salary
Hi, I have read around that citco hires lots of sim ppl. How is the pay progression there?
What I found out is 3k for fresh grad and around 3.6k (a range) for senior. How about supervisor?? Their bOnus sucks too.
Does AM ops pay better? They do reconciliation too i realise

Dumping ground for ppl who think they can break into AM / IBD/ PEs by doing AM ops and recon, only to realized they r stucked there with no useful transferrable skillset other than bring a fund accountant.

3k is w/o aws & low variable of 1mth. total package only 39k p.a. many local smes who pay aws & decent variable will end up higher in the end

Where do you think citco get their clients from? lol
In any case, most of the folks i know working in citco want to break into AM/PEs line and to be directly doing investment management / advisory work.
Nothing wrong for them doing that... but reality is harsh. This is equivalent to someone doing clearing/settlement ops, thinking the skill sets would be transferable to, say- sales and trading...
That aside, pay at citco is rather okay (i think 3k for freshies?)? Located at CBP with cheap food around (bedok hawker,etc).. I would say it is a ideal place for those who are looking for a relaxing place to settle down.

Haha pay ok!? Relaxing place!? You gotta be joking...
3k monthly, no aws, 1+mth bonus and 80 hours workweek with no OT during peak period... If not for the illusion of many freshies thinking they can be investment bankers or fund managers in the future, who will join them in the first place?

Ha. You should have let them be and not wake them up from the dream. Sometimes it is better to be blissfully ignorant of the truth than to see your world shatter...

Anyone who thinks joining an admin/ops outsourcer is the key to joining the outsource provider's clients need the head checked. No big co is going to hire back a low level associate from an outsourcer to do work they have already outsourced in the first place.
This is like saying that as long as I join a co with clients like JPM, Goldman, Shell, Exxon, Google etc. means there is a career progession leading into these co. Maybe in extreme rare scenario like strike toto bah.
