Previous Company Insolvency

Hi all,

I would really appreciate help here.

So the boutique physical commodities trading firm that I worked for about a year since graduation, went into insolvency due to a rogue employee's actions.

I've started looking for another job, but I'm not too sure how to craft my resume accordingly. Should I declare the company's insolvency status? Also, how will this affect my future job prospects?

You have to put that in your CV. Otherwise it looks very bad that you just resign for no reason and/or you were sacked due to poor performance.

In terms of future prospects, it won't hit directly. But it does send a poor signal about your experience because the impression is your company lacks process and professionalism and people might infer that you didn't learn much from such a company.

But it is still better than not explaining and give impression you were thrown out.
