relationship manager?
Hi guys! im a fresh grad and in a dilemma now.
Ive got two interviews for OCBC personal financial consultant and DBS relationship manager. Both are the same sales post essentially though DBS HR mentioned its mainly insurance sales for the first few months. Was wondering if there's anyone here who has experience in either posts and can share with me the pros and cons of what both banks offer? Thanks! |

I'm torn in whether to accept the DBS RM role. How's ur interview and have they get back to you? |
wan sell insurance, go join agency instead. even insurance agent from agencies think those sales person from banks are unethical.

btw pls note that you are not a Relationship Manager (RM). RM roles require experience and are not offered to fresh grads. You will normally be promoted to RM if you have performed well in your PB/senior PB roles. |
Dbs is called RM though is ultimately the same as Uob pb or ocbc pfs
I suppose dbs likes to give more fancier names to those sales agent positions Initially I also thought RMs are only for experienced ppl that maintains portfolios. Can't blame anyone but dbs for misleading outsiders and blurring the lines between rms and sales agents. Besides, it sounds more satki too Ultimately, all one have to know how to distinguish, is either r they farmer or hunter. |
other banks likely give the title as relationship officer for those who seek to enter the banking sector as fresh grad. Relationship mgr is meant for those who have at least 2 yrs exp.
|
Who cares about definition of RM? Ultimately all these are just fake titles for a sales agent position...
