Prospects of a marketing degree
Hi all,
Can anyone share with me the prospects of a marketing degree in Singapore? With a degree, is there a high possibility you will end up in a sales job?
Any insights are gladly welcomed.

From local uni? All of my friends who did marketing are NOT in sales.
They are in advertising, marcom, PR, media, events management, tourism, civil service and a few in banks.

Marketing...starting pay is low, annual increment is small ...But sure, the job is more multi-faceted and less dry....Jumping around is the way to boost salary more substantially...
Thats what i know,2 years in marketing field now..but feeling sad with my current pay

Agree with this.
On a side note, if you're interested to go into advertising, this is a useful facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/119326031532307/
