Returning as FAJT
Hi I moved to another ministry a few months ago, and realise it's not for me. I want to return as FAJT. Do I need to wait for 6 months after leaving service before applying? Can I apply while I am still employed with another ministry? (I intend to start fajt stint in July, after I leave my current job)

fajt iras
Hi, I did fajt for 2 months in 2022 before waiting for my new job to start. Noticed that those 2 months it was not included in my iras, do all fajt need declare on their own?

You can bring this to the attention of the admin mgr from the school you did the FAJT. Even if you have to declare on your own (ie not in the Auto Inclusion scheme), the school should issue you an IR8A for the amount paid to you so you can submit to IRAS.

May I ask what is it you don’t like about the ministry work that you did that you have to come back to the much-complained teacher job.

Hello,
I am thinking about converting to an FAJT from full time MOE teacher but have questions I hope some can help out with.
- What is the difference in rates paid to a GEO 4 ($6000) vs a GEO 5 ($6000)?
- Has anyone applied for FAJT while being employed? Do does one have to quit to do so?
Thank you!

Any current FAJTs ok with sharing your
(1) last drawn salary + rank while teaching full-time
(2) current FAJT pay?
Thanks so much!

Hi, I would like to ask the experience of quitting from your role as a teacher. May I know:
1. How many months of notice did you give? I understand that we are you expected to give one month, but in our line of work, I'm not sure if it is sufficient for my department to prepare and deploy for next year.
2. I would also like to be able to have my 13th month AWS for this year. Hence, I am wondering when will it be a good time for me to submit my resignation letter. If you have a similar concern or experience before, please let me know how did you go about doing it. Thank you!

can't confirm but heard that it's based on last geo grade instead of last drawn pay? Don't know if it's still the same, heard there is a revision this year

Hi, thank you for your reply!
I'm actually just looking to get the 13th month bonus only. I don't think I will be staying for the PB. I was also thinking if I were to tender on 13th November, and fulfil my one month notice period till 13th December, will I then be considered for the 13th month? Because I'm not quite sure if HR will consider my notice period as it also cuts into the school holidays. By contract, I would have fulfilled the obligation to provide a one-month notice, hence, I was wondering if this may work? Although it seems that, it might be better for me to get the 13th month first, then I tender which is suggested by you. Thank you.
