~70k/year. IT in banks are moving away from Singapore and a lot of emplpyee are getting fired.

The job market is definitely tougher than usual because : 1)less positions available 2)hordes of people with relevant experience are now jobless and frantically looking for a job

good luck!

concur with PP.

now, IT and Finance are not good areas to be in. all being "rightshored" to India, Philippines.

In fact, SG getting too expensive to a point that many European banks find it more sense to bring those services back to Europe, specifically Poland - closer to their timezone, perception that there is no language barrier. Not to mention you can hire a fresh grad in Krakow for SGD800.

Unless you are talking about those 'front office' analyst, I seriously doubt IT analyst can be paid that much. Banks are not stupid, they will not pay you 11k if their nearest competitors only pay you ~6k(because you will take their offer anyway if they offer you 6.5k)

According to MOM benchmarking tool on Benchmarking Tools

IT managers (e.g. computer & network ops mgr) in finance industry are paid about ~$10K median and $15K at 75% percentile. The figures are like 50% higher than other industries.

If pay so high, every IT manager would all "chiong" to banks. What's the catch? Any insiders to share?
