Default Graduating from UNISIM soon ?

I will be graduating in May with BSC Business, only secured a pass.

1)I am thinking of signing on with the Army as a ME4.

Problem is I am already 34 this year. Still can ? ( anyone in a similar situation? )

what should I expect in terms of salary for (1) ?

I served as a regular in the airforce for 10 years before venturing out to the private sector for 3 years plus while doing my degree. Will the Army consider working exp before one gets a degree ?

Any UNISIM alumni care to share or anyone in the SAF care to share personal or peer examples ?

Well, if you are still fit and strong, IPPT gold etc. You might still be able to sign on. But you might have to go through re-training. ME4 still have to go OCS and train like cadet one. You ready to be a cadet again?

Having been in the force and outside, I think I am still much more suited to a career in Uniform.
looking forward to the training to lose a bit of weight if I am accepted.

Pay wise ? from the Army website, lowest pass degree starts at $3790 with NS.

I read somewhere from the internet that they base starting pay of people with exp to that of in service personnel ?
Can I assume that they will offer me much more than fresh grad ?

I use to be under the impression that UNISIM was a pay and get degree until I went to do it myself.
Its really tough to juggle work and studying especially when it comes to exams.

More so if one is married with kids.
Not just UNISIM but any other part time programs I would think is useful whether or not it eventually leads to better job prospects.
UNISIM enjoys subsidies and IMO use to be the most recognized private UNI around but now its official a government recognized one, although it remains to be seen if they practice what they preach .

I would definitely come back here with answers for everyone.
Getting a degree is really about perseverance

Hey there, I do know of some of my regular friends that were sent to unisim to get their degrees. They were paid the degree pay after graduation, but they also had to take some SAF modules within unisim and at GKSCSC at safti. So they might not pay you the same as them since they took the additional related modules.

actually main concern is age?

Is there a unwritten entry age limit of 35 ?

considering the retirement age of ME scheme is 60 years old,
I would still have 25 years of value.

Of course I would be competing against people who are 10 years younger.

May I know if your friends are under the combat scheme or ME scheme ?

it just my old school mindset, I am not good at motivating without proper authority.

In the SAF, as long as u are higher in rank it is that much easier to delegate work. In the private sector, unless u are the boss or the manager i will find it difficult. I dread having to do it in the future.

In a way u can put it as hiding behind the rank.

My problem
