Life in infosys Lodestone

Anyone worked in infosys lodestone as a staff or consultant outsourced to a bank before? How is life there?

I deal with Infosys consultants frequently and they usually work long and late hours.

I see so what are they usually involved in? Are they predominantly Chinese, Indian or westerners? Just curious if you can share why they need long hours?

why they need to work long and late hours? What are they usually involved in? So what is the difference between infosys lodestone consultants and those consultants from NCS, Accenture, IBM etc?

Can share what are they usually involved in that requires them to work so late?

1. Most of the employees in lodestone are FT from India. They have to show to their bosses in India that they are working long hours - which automatically makes it late in Singapore. They are at mercy of their Indian bosses who think that they did a favour to their guys by posting them in India. Honestly, most of these guys walk into their office only around noon, hence working till 9 PM is not so bad.

2. NCS/Accenture have a lot of local staff as well, also Chinese, Aussies, Pinoy, etc. Lodestone practically 100% Indian FT.

Are these FT consultants local friendly like e.g. local chinese? Do they employ any locals?

Advisable for a local to join the place? Pay good?

Gd learning ground for ppl that are fresh and learning new skills?

1. Learning depends on how much you pick up.
2. Salary is negotiable. Remember - your competitors are willing to come in for as little as SGD 4000 pm (FTs from India).
3. FTs from India think that they are doing you a favour by hiring you when they can get anyone from India for a pittance.

Good place to work if you don't have anywhere else to go.
