Recruit Express [Advice needed]

Recently signed a contract with RE, on the contract it states that i would need clock 44 hours per week to be entitled to OT. However, my working hour is only 8hrs per day which sums up to 40hours per week. Which means each week, if i were to work OT i will never be able to claim OT pay if its within the 44 hours.

On the day itself, the agent verbally told me that so long its after the end work time, i am entitled to OT pay rate. I blame myself to be gullible and didnt do the calculation on the spot. Afterall theres nothing i can do about verbal agreement since the contract is sign.

The reason i accepted this offer initially was due to the fact that the agent told me its a convertible position, however on the day reporting to work, i found out that its actually a permanent temp position. Again, i blame myself to be so naive.

Hope you guys learnt from my lesson. Any advice are welcome

Used to be with RE, same issue. Then, I just told my supervisor that I would not OT, since I would not get OT pay.

knn 44 hours also want to kpkb. I'm in civil service and already doing 47hrs with zero claims/right to OT ok.

anyway 8hrs is damn short. report at 9 and you're done by 5pm. 8hr jobs that end at 5pm are close to extinct in Singapore now. Anyway I've been to RE before. If you're not the outspoken, go getter sort you're going to get nudged out by your colleagues (and eventually you'll break down and resign yourself) because they only hire alpha-aggressive sort of people there and they constantly look at your bottomline everyday.

Freshies have a common/pooled team target while as you get more senior they will assign you individual targets to meet. and if you don't meet them clearly you're shown the door out.

Varies from agencies to agencies, from job scope to job scope. Mind, alot of them worked well into the night and their weekends are burnt. Sure we all go home around 7pm, but its back to work after dinner when we reached home.

bad service

Recruit Express has really horrible staff, staff who scold you and indirectly calls you stupid and annoying, just because you lost your way in the midst of finding the company's actual location. They are so impatient people. They would even insult you saying "this is the first time people got lost" and they will command you to take a cab to the company or whatever means to get to the actual company location. They do not offer any help to you, instead, all they do is blame you for causing such trouble for them and making their blood boil. Also, they give the wrong working hours, upon asking them 3 times and the answers on the working hours were not uniform. They also provided an inaccurate client company and got my NRIC number all mixed up.Such agents at Recruit Express tarnishes the company's reputation.

i think u gotta be realistic lah, Recruit Express is a boiler room telemarketing environment that recruit staff for contract, part time and junior level types. most of their "consultants" are just the typical ah beng ah lian type.

i dont understand y ppl still go through recruit express. a simple search on google can direct u to many forum threads with thousands of post complaining about their services. yet it still survives till today and ppl continue to complaint about it.

is okay if u r too lazy to source for job on ur own... but atleast do a little search on the recruitment agency.
