spammed. over 100+. but trying to break out of field of studies so it took a long while before even getting an offer. honours is 2nd upper. Wasn't picky, just not interested in field of study. The offer I accepted was the only offer I had

sometimes back and forth between departments, sign offs etc it does take some time.
If they called you to tell you got the job then I think it's pretty trust worth. Dont worry.

That's a little different from telling you they offered you a position

Does anyone know roughly how long does it take for a large private healthcare company to process hiring of candidates?
I had a call from an external recruiter that introduced the position to me, and that I was selected for the position, but approval for hire is still ongoing so will get back to me soon. That was like late nov (2-3 weeks after interview with hiring manager). 2 weeks after (mid dec), I followed up and she said approval should be done by now, but HR is really busy so will get back to me in the afternoon on the same day. Now early jan, still no news...
I really wonder the credibility of what she is saying, since she's a job agent and the middleman and I don't want to cross the line by calling the company's HR directly... So was wondering whether it will take this long for HR in private company to process everything? By now, it should be 8 weeks since my interview, and 6 weeks since she said I'm selected for position. No official offer to whatsoever.
