Credit Suisse Compliance Academy Professional Practicum

Hi all,

I'm a local graduate with one foot in Credit Suisse's Compliance Academy Professional Practicum. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of the pros/cons of this programme?

My understanding is that there is no guarantee of a conversion after two rotations across two years, and the salary remains fixed at around $3k~ for these two years. The lack of conversion is worrying me slightly (as compared to the certainty an audit job provides), but I wonder if this programme under CS has a strong enough 'brand name' to secure a position elsewhere in the event of no conversion? What kind of salary range should I be expecting after finishing the two-year programme?

Thanks all!

Career path for kyc

Hi,

I am offered a 1 year contract position with a foreign corporate investment bank as a kyc analyst.
Previous 2 years experience was in a retail bank environment.

Would like to find out how valuable will this kyc analyst role dealing with periodic reviews and On-boarding be in terms of moving towards AML/compliance roles?

TIA for all inputs

career change

hi all, I'm over 40, degree holder, worked in banking product management before, but never in Compliance. I'm looking for a career change in compliance, and intend to take up compliance certification.

Would like to get your views if I would be able to switch career to Compliance?

Which certification will be more useful: ICA or ACAMS?

Appreciate your replies. Thanks!

ICA has different specialisation, can be general compliance or AML.

ACAMS is very specialised in AML. So depends on which area of Compliance do you want to go into. ACAMS is easier to get though in terms of time spent.

I went for fhe interview back in 2014 but didnt pass the first round. The interviewer was rather rude. I was glad I didnt get the role. I wasnt a fresh grad but armed with 2 years of experience. Right now I am in a global mnc as a compliance advisor with much better prosepcts. Advice is if you have no other offers, accept credit suisse. There is no guarantee it will be converted and the package is worse off. You will be better off as a perm staff with full package offered.

I'm currently doing AML in a corporate bank. Do you think its worth it to jump to a private bank? Or stick to corporate banking?
