what's the diff between aml ops and aml analyst?

I'm a pte uni student who's planning to leave audit (non big8) aft a year to join aml/kyc ops. What starting salary shld i ask for?

1 year in audit is not of much value, you should still start as a fresh grad. Seems like you do not like doing audit. I doubt you will like aml ops too. Why do you want to be in aml/kyc ops?

what's the norm for fresh grad pay? i've seen alot of different bench marks for starting pay. it's not that i don't like audit, i just found that it's a broader job scope and i've always been interested in aml, thus i'm jumping.

Hi guys, I am currently under 1 year contract with one of the Stat Board doing compliance/audit work. As my contract is coming to an end, what are my chances of getting a shot to work as an compliance officer in banks? (CDD/KYC/AML)

I have been applying to various banks and recruitment agencies but there are totally no call ups for me to go for an interview. I would think that my experience are no value or not related to get into Banking/Financial sector.

I am really lost at this point of time and hope that you guys can shed some advice for me please.

i think it may be difficult to even get into banks if your compliance audit work is not of the same line (i.e. ur stat board is it finance related?)..

however, to increase ur chances, maybe u can try for contract roles in bank for AML/KYC.. i.e start from scratch..

What type of compliance and audit work. The nature of the work and also regulations are different.
Bank functions are specialised, so they are looking for specific skillsets when they hire for a role. When you come a non banking background, it will be even harder to get into a role in banking.
