if you are looking at money, SME side actually doesnt pay as well as personal banking (to my surprise). not sure why cos the banks do squeeze alot out of SMEs.
for personal banking side, your pay will increase as you move on to be RM and beyond as you serve higher net worth customers. im not sure how the progression for SME bankers is like.
i gt offered both positions as a fresh grad few years back. eventually decided front office might not be for me. apart from long hours and stress, you really have to be determined.

hmmm why is that so? i thought SME banking should be more lucrative?

i have heard that it's not so easy to get into DBS (their personal bankers are called branch relationship managers), they only want degree holders with some working experiences but yet their comm is like **** as compared to other banks.
