Their reasoning is bonus is a variable. Not always 3 months. Which is true...
But ncs that time was paying lower base but higher bonus... To keep people for at least 1 year...
Anyway higher base is better. You don't have to slave for 12 months.
But it also means don't have to work hard. Cause you already get the higher paid every month without doing more...
That's why bonus works..
But since company want to give the illusion of higher pay but no aws.
Nobody going to stay the full year.
When the going gets tough... Then just quit. No need to hang it there until aws..

True. If you willing to forgo your PB then can just leave anytime. Some companies have PB and AWS out on different months, maybe Jun/Dec. Then can only choose to forgo one and take the other, then throw letter.

Last time was like that. Alot of company does that aws end of the month. Bonus is mid year. And then quarterly got like 500 dollars or what. To entice staff to stay just a few more months... Then it's okay. Just another month... Then. Bonus.. Then stay another 3montjs aws.
So it reward ppl to stay.
Now.. No more aws. High base. People will just keep searching for a better job. Leave anytime.

Same for me, I joined as an E6 about 10 years ago at $4.2k as well.
Promoted once in like 3 or 4 years. Increment sucks sia

1 month before appraisal act busy. Come early leave late
I see the performance so many times.
Then promoted already etc. Back to lazy retirement life.

Hows the staff movement at everyone's office? Many ppl resigned after bonus? Or all hanging on to their rice bowl?

Hey if any of you is good enough, why not apply for better SI like Accenture? Higher pay at all levels. When fresh grad pay increases, laojiaos pay increases as well. No worries there. Pay dont overlap between each levels.
