Based on Singapore statistic, there was a total of
3.357 million people employed last year. http://stats.mom.gov.sg/Pages/Emplo... does it mean we have 2 million workers below assessable income S$20k ? |

While i think the numbers show there are a lot of low wages workers and Singapore is heavily dependent on them, my sense is that the numbers are also distorted because if you consider SME where family members are employed by the company and charge everything to a company and "draw" a low salary...I wont be too surprised if this group has consist of 200- 500k people. |
