I'm working in pharma division in one of the largest healthcare MNC in the world, if not the largest. My site is a manufacturing site

Franking speaking, its the one of the toughest industry to work in.
This is due to stringent compliance, global goverance health bodies and global requirements.T here are things which you need to know like GxP, GDP, GMP etc. A lot of documentation, deviation management and change control.

I'm from IT and base on my experience here for the past 2 yrs, you will be overwheml with the documentations rather than actual implementation........80% documentation, 20% implementation.

Take note, ask for more pay!! as the same job you perform in other industries if you work in pharma you need to put in double or triple effort to get it done and completed!

Are you doing computer system validation ? I always thought the validation team is always the one overwhelmed with documentation. Correct me if i am wrong.

I guess with your extensive experience in this area, you can always make a jump and ask for what you think you deserve.

pharma coys starting salary for fresh grad is about 3k or low 3k inclusive of transport allowance for perm positions. wasn't in those three before so can't be sure for those. med/dental benefits usually not bad like full coverage for med sometimes. free vacination if the coy produces those. last time, my coy had birthday vouchers.

but pharma coys don't pay as well compared to like >5 years ago. there were some ntu/distance learning grads hired on contract and paid only low 2k cos didn't have chemist positions at that time.

career progression not that much imo. after a few years, become senior chemist. another few years, supervisory role if there are vacancies but a lot of foreigners in middle mgmt, so need to compete with them. senior mgmt can almost forget it, mostly foreigners especially ang mohs from parent coy. salary progression not too bad though, can be a few hundred a year. promotional increment should be >500 from what i heard.
