The Public Service Division has just announced that the civil service mid-year bonus payments will be 0.4 month.

That is good. Hope that the end of year bonus will be > 0.75.

does anyone know if an unconfirmed staff at a stat board will be entitled to this bonus?

yes you will be entitled but it will be prorated to days.
E.g, (number of days working / number of days from jan till june) x 0.4 x salary

civil service - ministries + organs of state
public service - civil service + stat boards

the civil service mid year bonus only applies to the civil service. so whether you are confirmed or not, stat board employees do not get the mid year bonus.

Wrong. I am in a stat board teaching in polytechnic. I have been getting the same mid year bonus for last 7 years that is announced.

The $40 to $70 pay increase that comes with the Civil Service Mid Year Bonus, will those in probation get it?

I'm a MSO grade 8, Div 3, joined in April this year. Just want to know about this..

Yes, it should be applicable to all Div 3 and 4 officers as long as they are in service from 1 July 2013.
