Better to retire later?

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is in discussions with the Public Service Division to review the retirement age of uniformed Home Team officers, said Second Minister for Home Affairs S. Iswaran,

He was speaking at the Home Team Promotion ceremony on Wednesday at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, where 187 Home Team officers received their certificates of promotion.

Mr Iswaran, who is also Second Minister for Trade & Industry, said the MHA would study how officers can be allowed to serve longer and contribute their knowledge and expertise.

He also stressed that the ministry would continue to focus on leadership renewal at all levels.
