Are you happy with you job, life?
People of salary.sg forums-are you happy with your job and life as a whole? What do you do, and do you find it enjoyable or meaningful? Perhaps you regret your career choices?
Curious to know.
I'll start. Not happy, still searching for meaning, regret not studying overseas.

#1 Find money first then find meaning & happiness = 50% happy (got money & happiness) and 50% unhappy (got money & no happiness)
#2 Find meaning & happiness first then find money = 10% happy (no money & convince themself to be contented) 90% unhappy (no happiness because no money)
A lot of idealistic youths choose #2 and regret when they reach middle age.

I'll just talk about my job. I find it meaningless. But I'm still here because my boss and colleagues are nice. The salary is decent. I'm trying to save enough so that I can move on to a more meaningful job which may pay less.

1) False dilemma
2) #2 Should be no happiness because couldn't find it. Your conflating happiness with money I really don't get it.
Of course I can see your game in trying to put people down hence such ridiculous claims.

I manage the development of new IT systems and find it meaningful when i successfully complete a multimillion dollar system and see how impactful it is.
Of course there is much hard work and long days involved but satisfaction, learning, good team members and a good salary helps.

I'm a late 20s male. Have about 3 years of work experience. Make about 7k a month. I'm happy with my career and job. But I wish I had a girlfriend... I think thats probably the most incomplete part of my life. I just want to get married and settle down.
