A EEE internship here in sg is worthless. The industry is service driven more than product engineering driven. Hence, there are very few capable EEE engineers around. Companies here treat interns as cheap labour and not as future engineers. So there is very little value added.

I'm going glasgow, scotland. Yeah I know but There will be a lot of issue if I do issue in oversea such as visa, housing and I might not return on time for the start of new semester. That's why i have to do it in Singapore. Yeah i know right, Singapore need engineer yet we are treated like some worthless ****; being disrespected. *shake head

An advice from an old bird in the working world.

Please learn to respect other even though others do not show you respect in the first place. The older generation, or the Ah-Peks in your eyes, who would likely be your hiring managers or seniors in the future still value some respect.

Doing an overseas exchange, a NTU B. Eng (EEE) could help in kick starting your career, but giving respect aids you to your career apex.

Hopefully you can still write in to IBM to secure a internship.
