OT will be depending on your shift teams strength and also for the roles required, but you will not be doing it immediately. Only once your supervisor deems you're experienced and reliable enough for the role, then you'll be eligible called up for OT.

I think I can deal with it since I'm in the o&g industry, tastes varies from diff cooks but no choice we've got to eat for energy to work and I don't complain much unless it is too salty haha. My only concern is that do they serve halal food at the HQ and facilities? The employee will be given a food coupon or can simply straight enjoy at the mess room? Last question, can we do a 4-4 days from 2-2 days of work by getting agreement from our shift reliever/colleague and supervisor? Coz I've been told onshore plants are mostly like that wonder if Exxon too. Only if you wish to answer this. Thanks a lot man.

How much is the starting pay? Seems around 2.5-2.6?

Anyone knows the current starting salary scale for process tech aT EM? Have passed interview and gone for medical.. just waiting for salary offer. Am curious about the starting salary.. i am a dip holder not related to o&g industry and work in govt sector for 6 years.

Do you think they will offer base on base salary as entry level or will they take into account my previous working experience, although not related?

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Maybe they will consider a bit on the non-related work experience not sure either. Worry not you will be getting the package on the 3rd week of April according to the timeline given in the email just calmly and patiently wait hehe..

Well based on my readings in this forum, I found a post back in 2013 someone said it was 1800 basic and 980 shift allowance for fresh grad but I am not sure now.

Rest assured, a company like EM will try to extend an offer that surpasses your Annual Income. They want to attract the best talent to work for them and unlike govt / stat boards, you WILL prove your worth unless you’re not planning to stay.

Try to look for an alternate & affordable housing while you’re still new. Accommodation is expensive around Jurong area due to its close proximity to the heavy industries in the area. Once you’ve established yourself, you can make use of the benefits to buy yourself a nice place on top of your accumulated savings. Hope it helps.
