For those of you who applied ops tech,be well prepared.the training is mentally tough.very high expectations from the supervisors. All i can say is once uve graduated and post-qualified after the training, you will see all your hardwork paid off.Its not easy to get into em and be an ops tech but once you go through training, you will know.Especially for those who dont have any process, chemical, oil n gas background.its more than just opening and shutting off valves.lol.All the best to those whos waiting for their results!!

It's also about how many test tubes you can wash per minute (without breaking them). It's a tough job that requires finesse and dexterity. My lab partner who did not meet his quota was asked to hand in his lab coat, and shown the door.

Anyone from the June interviews got any news? Went for medical already but have yet to hear from them. Anyone got any offers?

Quite weird to have a multi billion company treating its staff by cleaning test tubes as a test.

Hi people, what are the odds of these big company hiring o level grad? They seem to put up min n level cert?? I mean do they really hire people who have totally no cert in chemical process? There must be thousand of people with the relevant cert applying for ops tech right? Anyone an o level grad inside care to comment? Thanks!

In exxonmobil, the last thing to worry about is salary. For a nitec holder to BRING HOME 2.2k,work 15days/mth is already good enough.and mind you, that is only for your basic salary plus shift allowance.Havent yet OT! And that is only the first year.but its not easy being in this company though.those who know, knows.
