Thanks for sharing your thoughts here, much appreciate. I will attend the interview for Operation Technician anyway. If I'm lucky enough to get the offer, then I shall wait for the salary package, to make a clear decision regarding to this.
Cheers,
Mr. K

from what I see on working in an MNCs, it is quite difficult to move internally unless the company really promote internal transfers. once you've signed to work for the said position u applied for, ur likely to stay there and climb the ladder just like everyone else.
u could either, after years of experience, apply for other OnG companies like Shell etc. or you could just directly apply as an engineer.
only if ur lucky, or if u believe in fate, if ur fated for internal transfers, then u will. otherwise, tough luck.

Good luck for your interview, I will be attending the same interview in the same week with you. Yes, from what I read, it's like EM is taking Technicians in batch, the batch we applied for seems like is meant to be on board expected on 1st of April 2020. Plus, from the past forum thread here, it can be found that EM's recruiting process is kinda time consuming aka "the waiting game", described from the past.
Cheers,
Mr. K

If im not mistaken, read somewhere that they wana onboard new staff in April? Would be great if anyone can rectify.

I have no idea on any status beyond application in progress.

Just went for the ops tech B1/2020 interview
Two rounds of interviews, basically went through the standard questions like :-
Tell me more about yourself
What do you know about the position
How do you spend your time when not at work
Are you married/with kids/who is taking care
Are you prepared for shift
Leadership experiences
Proudest achievement
After first interview, was handed a slip of paper. Did not manage to see what was written on it since it was folded, therefore to be safe i followed what he said which was to hand the slip to HR. After which, HR immediately sent me into another room for the second interview. Quite short compared to the first one, questions were pretty much similar to the first round.
Once done, HR mentioned they will get back with a yes or no within 1-2 weeks.
P.S they mentioned they needed about 20-30 for the position. They hiring in batches and this is the first round. So all the best to those who are applying! Hope this helps.
