got a job

Well just helping fellow mates here, I applied for a job under SPF in early April.

Was called up for interview after 2 weeks. Went for the interview at SPF write essay, then standard interview. To those asking whats the question of the essay it doesnt really matter, they just wanna gauge how good you are with your writing and language communications.

As for the interview, your potential boss will ask you question relevant to the job you are applying for, answer honestly and sincerely. Keep calm and dun kan chiong most importantly don come with YA YA PA PA YA attitude saying you did this you got that achievement. That one you confirm sure get rejected. Remember in CS your gonna work with people for at least 2 years, naturally they will pick someone they can get along with rather than picking someone who has the skills but has terrible attitude.

Anyways I just told them what I was doing before applying for this job, my reason to join and sharing what I had done in my free time. 2 months had passed I thought i had been rejected, but hey got a call to go down to sign contract and medical check up. Now I'm part of SPF for those who work at SPF who are reading this. (HELLO!!!)

My last piece of advice for those applying HASE scheme doesnt matter if you got diploma,ITE or degree you just start at different point. Don't doubt yourself and don't get upset if you get rejected for the job. Most opening only have 1 or 2 slots and the number of people applying for it sometimes exceeds ratio 1:5 or more. Just keep applying and go for more interview in time you will speak better in interview. =) All the best.

Hi anyone applied for the Snr Executive post under MHA HASE scheme? Wonder how long they will take to shortlist if they found you suitable.

Hi I had applied for the HASE position few months back ago and no news on shortlist for interview. I have since updated my resume due to some changes in my current job. Will it be ok to resubmit my application for the HASE position with an updated resume? Thanks

Anyone know if there's an interval to wait after failed interview in another MHA position?

Unregistered 14-12-2017 09:13 AM

Hi did anyone here resubmit a fresh email application after no news from MHA since initial application months ago?

Unregistered 30-12-2017 08:07 AM

Hi guys, I just submitted my application via email instead of career@gov. Saw the automated email stating to wait for the max of 30 days. If after that then it means that I am not selected for interview. Hopefully can get it through
